About Kathy MorganAmazon bestselling author, Kathy Morgan, sold her first published piece, an interview with the Rolling Stones, to a national teen magazine when she was fourteen years old. And she's been writing ever since. She began writing her paranormal romance series, the Celtic Magic Trilogy, while living in Ireland for a number of years. While there, her unquenchable entrepreneurial spirt led her to own a dinner theatre restaurant, where she wrote, directed, and produced murder mysteries for her guests. Her experiences while living in Ireland served to add a rare authenticity to descriptions, customs, and dialogue penned by an American author. The story's premise, based upon old Irish legend--with a twist--incorporates apocalyptic scriptural references to a cosmic tale, which further assists its readers in "suspending disbelief".
More recently, Ms. Morgan published a "short read", which detailed her experiences with God many years ago. "Is the Bible Really Your Word, God? Three Weeks of Miracles the Lord Performed in Answer to that Prayer" raced up the charts to become an Amazon #1 bestseller in its genre within days of its release. In addition to living in Europe, Ms Morgan has been an avid world traveler, having visited more than a dozen countries around the globe. She's cuddled a sloth in Panama, gone humpback whale watching in Costa Rica, cruised to Quebec, taken a longboat from Manila to White Beach, and landed in Bangkok the first night of a military coup. With local media warning tourists against visiting Lumphini Park, citing a tent city of "militant" protesters there, the park was, of course, the first place on her agenda the following morning. As she walked to the lake, famous for the Komodo dragons that lived there, she passed by the "militants", happy families cooking their meals on open campfires, who smiled and waved as she walked by. Prior to her publishing career, Ms. Morgan, a mother of six in a "yours, mine and ours" family, founded a charity serving our nation's missing, abused, and suicidal children. In her work with the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children in Washington, DC, she was invited to the White House on three separate occasions, serving as a consultant to the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention of the U.S. Department of Justice as well as the American Bar Association. Interviewed regularly by both local and national news outlets, she appeared on the Today Show, CBS Evening News, CNN, and the 700 Club. Her professional experience has made her comfortable in any corporate setting related but not limited to the production of a major motion picture adaptation. |
